Quarter Three Chronicles

This quarter, I learned the importance of perseverance and time management. Balancing my responsibilities was challenging, but I managed to stay organized by prioritizing tasks and using a planner. I also discovered the value of collaboration, especially in group projects like our community-based research. While working with others, I improved my communication skills and contributed ideas to achieve our common goals.

However, time management was a challenge, and I struggled with meeting deadlines. To address this, I created a better schedule and worked ahead on tasks. Moving forward, I’ll continue refining my time management skills and focus on stress relief through regular breaks. I’m determined to keep improving and make the next quarter even better.

A key realization this quarter was how much I’ve grown through my experiences, both academically and personally. I had to face some tough situations, but I learned that setbacks are opportunities for growth. Embracing challenges rather than avoiding them has made me more resilient and self-aware. For instance, when I struggled with a difficult subject, I sought help from my teachers and classmates, which helped me grasp the material better.

Looking ahead, I plan to take more initiative in seeking help early when I face challenges. I also want to maintain my motivation and continue striving for better results. Reflecting on what worked and what didn’t has given me a clearer vision of what I want to focus on in the upcoming quarter. I’ll continue to work on my weaknesses while building on the strengths I’ve developed so far.

National Women’s Month Celebration. 2024 18-day Campaign to End         Violence Against Women (VAW) is a pressing issue that continues to plague societies across the globe, including the Philippines. Globally, an estimated one in three women experience physical, sexual, or emotional violence in their lifetime. In the Philippines, data from the 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) by the Philippine Statistics Authority reveals that nearly one out of five women have suffered violence from their current or most recent partner. This alarming figure underscores the urgent need for stronger legal frameworks, community awareness, and sustained advocacy. To address this, the Philippines has enacted laws like the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 (RA 9262)and observes the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women annually. These efforts aim to educate, empower, and protect women while fostering a culture of respect and eq...

A Glimpse Into My World: Joyfull Journey

Holaaa, I'm Alexah Joy, a 15-year-old girl from the charming city of Vigan. I was born on January 3, 2009, and I am the eldest daughter in my family. Being the firstborn has shaped me in many ways, especially in how I relate to my family.                                                               I’m often considered a daddy’s girl, but at the same time, I’m very independent. I’ve learned to balance these two sides of me as I navigate through life. -- Question, how I balance these two? Well, by Communicating more often with my papa, setting a boundary that can help me to maintain my independence while still allowing for a close relationship with my papa, taking responsibility that can also help me to feel more in control and independent, and lastly, I had to practice self-reflection on my feelings and needs. Let's move...

Day of Love and Affection

14th February every year Valentine's Day is a celebration day with one single aim to commemorate love and affection. Though it has become more popular as an all-romantic couples' day, it encompasses friendship, family, and loving oneself. The day is all about acts of love, gifts of love, and celebration of relationship in a wider aspect. History of Valentine's Day      Valentine's Day history began in ancient Rome, where mid-February was the Lupercalia festival to celebrate the arrival of spring. The festival became more developed, and by the 5th century, Pope Gelasius declared February 14th St. Valentine's Day in honor of the life of St. Valentine, a Roman priest, who was convicted of marrying women and soldiers secretly against the emperor. His valiancy and kindness made him a lover and admirer of love and devotion. Why We Celebrate Valentine's Day?      Valentine's Day has become a global tradition that truly does not pay attenti...
