Building Blocks of the Web

 Building Blocks of the Web

This quarter, we explored the fascinating world of HTML tags, tables, exer and more. Learning how to structure web pages with headers, paragraphs, images, and tables gave us a glimpse into the backbone of the internet. It was exciting to see how small snippets of code could transform into functional and visually appealing web content.

Understanding HTML was like learning a new language—challenging at first but rewarding. The thought of creating something people can interact with on the web kept me motivated. Seeing progress in each activity and knowing these skills are practical for the real world pushed me to keep improving.

Collaborating with classmates was one of the best parts of the journey. We shared tips, solved bugs, and inspired one another with creative ideas. One of the biggest lessons I learned was the value of teamwork and that everyone’s perspective can make a project stronger.

The fun moments included experimenting with designs and layouts during exercises, especially when tables or images didn’t align the way we expected—it led to lots of laughs! Debugging together as a team and celebrating when everything finally worked was always a highlight. The "HTML Battles" where we raced to create the best table were particularly memorable.

Time management was a crucial skill this quarter. Balancing different activities, assignments, and group work required careful planning. Breaking tasks into smaller steps and setting clear deadlines helped me stay on track. For example, working on the table designs ahead of schedule allowed time to focus on perfecting other elements of the page. I also learned the importance of avoiding procrastination, as last-minute work often led to unnecessary stress.

One of the biggest challenges was debugging complex HTML code. Sometimes, a single missing tag or extra space could disrupt an entire layout. It taught me to stay patient and detail oriented. Collaborating with classmates and asking for help was also essential in overcoming these hurdles. The experience reminded me that challenges are opportunities to grow and learn.

By the end of the quarter, I noticed a boost in my confidence when writing code. Initially, HTML seemed overwhelming, but consistent practice and guidance from our teacher helped me master the basics. The sense of accomplishment from completing a fully functioning webpage made all the effort worthwhile. It reinforced that persistence and a willingness to learn can lead to significant progress.

Understanding HTML has opened my eyes to the endless possibilities in web development. It’s exciting to think that these foundational skills could be the starting point for creating websites, blogs, or even career opportunities. Realizing how these concepts are applied in everyday life—like in e-commerce sites or online forms—has made the learning process even more meaningful.

This quarter has laid a solid foundation for my journey in web development. I’m eager to dive deeper into more advanced concepts like CSS and JavaScript in the future. Building interactive and visually appealing web pages is something I’m excited to explore. I’m also motivated to continue improving my problem-solving skills and to embrace new challenges with the same enthusiasm.

This quarter has been both educational and enjoyable. Aba! Ofc I'm so excited for the next quarter!!!!!

September's here, it's time to cheer, Let's clean-up our school, and banish all fear!! From classrooms to halls, to the field too, Let's pick up the trash, and make our school shine through.    Students and teachers alike often find themselves overwhelmed by the clutter and chaos that can accumulate in classrooms and school hallways. That's why September is the perfect time to launch a "month of clean up" initiative in our school. This month-long activity aims to promote a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and community among students, teachers, and staff.                      As Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD  10 Representative, I've participated the Clean-up drive last September 13 in the afternoon. Like, Harvesting the grass area that might mean clearing the area of any debris or obstacles, or possibly even mowing the grass to make it easier to clean. Picking up or collecting the garbage near the field, an...

Elpidio Quirino: A Visionary Leader's Legacy

Elpidio Quirino: A Visionary Leader's Legacy      Elpidio Quirino, who served as the sixth president of the Philippines, remains an influential figure in the nation's post-colonial history. Born on November 16, 1890, in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Quirino grew up in modest circumstances, but his strong determination to succeed led him to pursue a career in law and public service. Prior to his presidency, he held several key positions, including being appointed as Secretary of the Interior. His experience in governance and his reputation for diligence and integrity paved the way for his later role as a national leader. Quirino’s legacy is that of a dedicated public servant who always worked for the betterment of his countrymen, even amid political challenges.     Quirino assumed the presidency in 1948 following the death of President Sergio Osmeña, at a time when the Philippines was still grappling with the aftermath of World War II. A Glimpse Into My World: Joyfull Journey

Holaaa, I'm Alexah Joy, a 15-year-old girl from the charming city of Vigan. I was born on January 3, 2009, and I am the eldest daughter in my family. Being the firstborn has shaped me in many ways, especially in how I relate to my family.                                                               I’m often considered a daddy’s girl, but at the same time, I’m very independent. I’ve learned to balance these two sides of me as I navigate through life. -- Question, how I balance these two? Well, by Communicating more often with my papa, setting a boundary that can help me to maintain my independence while still allowing for a close relationship with my papa, taking responsibility that can also help me to feel more in control and independent, and lastly, I had to practice self-reflection on my feelings and needs. Let's move...
